Yarrows are reputed to be general fortifiers, helping the bodies natural resistance. They improve digestion, circulation and the function of the liver, gall, bladder and kidneys. They are valuable wound herbs for cuts and grazes and are used in many cosmetic lotions for cleansing the skin. This red flowering variety is similar to the white form - except the flowers are cherry red. Yarrow will grow in dry, sunny positions, and make excellent ground covers as they spread readily.
