Painted Sage

Salvia viridis

Makes a beautiful border plant with its height and graceful flowers. Floral bracts are intensely purple or pink. Leaves and seeds are said to increase the inebriating quality of liquers when added during fermentation. An infusion of the leaves can be used to relieve sore gums.
