Lemon Verbena
Please note: This plant looses some of its leaves in Autumn and Winter, but recovers in Spring. Don't expect a bushy, leafy plant if ordered during the cooler months!!

Makes a delicious herbal tea; just add a handful of leaves to a pot and brew for a few minutes. Sweeten with honey and enjoy! Also brilliant with fish.
This herb prefers dry conditions, needs plenty of sun and a well drained acid soil. Requires very little in the way of fertilisers, keep well pruned to encourage a bushier plant. May lose some leaves through the colder months. It has delicate tiny white flower spikes in summer. Lemon verbena leaves are used to add a lemony flavour to fish and poultry dishes, vegetable marinades, salad dressings, jams, puddings, and beverages.
