Hyssopus officinalis

 Decorative plant with a refreshing aromatic scent. Slightly bitter leaves can be finely chopped and added to salads, game meat, soups and stews. Helps digestion. Distillation of essential oil is used in perfumes. Dark green leaves year round, with showy spikes of blue flowers. Bees are attracted to this plant, so encourages good pollination rates if planted near vegetable gardens or crops. Is also said to attract the cabbage white moth thereby keeping brassicas free from infestation.
