Chilean Guava

Ugni molinae

Small bush which grows 1-2 metres and can be hedged, grown in a large pot or planted into the garden as a speciman tree. Has tiny, glossy green leaves and pretty pink flowers which develop into shiny red/brown berries. Self fertile, tolerates full/part sun and is frost tolerant. The small, berries are about the size of a small blueberries and are best eaten fresh or made into jam.
