Dropwort or Meadowsweet
Filipendula vulgaris
Likes a sun/part shade position. This plant has feathery leaves in rosettes and beautiful creamy white flowers to 30cm. Traditionally, the roots were powdered to make a decoction with white wine and honey for kidney ailments and diseases of the lungs. Flowers can be used in beer and wines. Evergreen perennial thrives in drought, poor soil! Ivory flowers in summer. Foliage is evergreen in warm areas. Tolerates drought, poor soil.
