Perennial Basil

Ocimum sp.

Perennial Basil which tastes the same as sweet basil. Needs a full sun position, pick leaves regularly to encourage a bushy plant, and protect from direct frost.

If protected during winter, this basil will survive! We tested it this winter, and are happy to say it came through our Tasmanian winter and is beginning to grow quickly again. I keep our plants in the greenhouse (unheated) and they did just fine.
