This category of herbs contains plants which make excellent grass or lawn alternatives. Low growing, tolerant of drier conditions once established, providing habitat to beneficial insects, asthetically more pleasing than grass, they often add a delicate scent to the garden and provide a little welcome colour with tiny flowers where there were none before.
